Meet the judges, AAU Scholarship

There are three judges associated with the NOVI Scholarship. Each of them brings unique experiences, and they work together to find the best scholarship winner.
On the left:

Henrik Lundum, CEO of NOVI Science Park

Henrik is the founder of the scholarship. He created it because, as a young man, he lacked support and funds to launch his business idea successfully. Henrik has founded several companies, including his own healthcare business. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Henrik also serves as an investor in the Investo Capital fund. Thus, he has comprehensive experience throughout the startup ecosystem.

In the middle:

Mads Peter Veiby, Serial Entrepreneur

Mads is a well-known serial entrepreneur from North Jutland, who, among other things, founded the mobile network company M1 and the gaming platform spilnu.dk. Mads also engages in charity work for the Children's Cancer Foundation through Sportscarevent.

On the right:

Mads Bang, Director of Innovation, AAU

Mads Bang is a civil engineer, holds a Business PhD, and an MBA from AAU. His research, particularly in fuel cells, has led to successful spin-out companies, including SerEnergy, which, with more than 100 employees, was sold in 2018. Since then, he has helped establish the company Blue World Technologies.

Meet the judges, UCN Scholarship

In 2023, NOVI and UCN entered into an agreement to create a dedicated NOVI scholarship for UCN students, awarded annually. The NOVI Scholarship has three associated judges, each with their individual experiences, who work together to select the most promising scholarship recipient.
On the left:

Henrik Lundum, CEO of NOVI Science Park

Henrik established the scholarship based on his own challenges as a young person when he lacked support and financial resources to realize his business ideas. He has founded several companies, including one in the healthcare sector. In addition to his entrepreneurial experience, Henrik also serves as an investor in the Investo Capital fund, giving him comprehensive experience across the entire ecosystem.

In the middle:

Thomas Kastrup Larsen, Director, UCN Business

Thomas works daily to educate skilled students for the North Jutland and Danish business sectors, creating the best conditions for students to learn how to tackle the challenges and opportunities resulting from technological and societal changes. As a former mayor of Aalborg, Thomas has a deep understanding of what the business world needs and how the entire startup ecosystem is structured.

On the right:

Thomas Helt, Serial Entrepreneur and Investor

Thomas Helt has extensive experience in entrepreneurship. He trained as a physiotherapist and, in 2018, founded WeCare by purchasing medical clinics from Falck across the country. The operation and sale of his entrepreneurial businesses led Thomas to the role of investor, where he has developed a keen understanding of what it takes to make a business successful.
